I used to have another blog called "Six Pines Ranch". It has a chicken egg background and ugly red text. I love the background since I'm a chicken lover to the very depths of my soul. This past January I ventured out to create this new blog that had a more spiritual basis. Tonight I logged into my old blog just for kicks. Interestingly, I really liked what I wrote on there back in 2010-- not just the egg background; God really did some neat things back then that I shared.
What going back to look at that blog did for me was realize that I can and should post about the things going on in my life. No, I don't need to share everything, but I do need to share the things God lays on my heart. Coming from a strict journaler of over eleven years, I'm all about keeping memories alive and fresh. You might not super like every one of my posts, but I personally like going back and reading them. I think what I write about is just like a journey. I can see where I have grown, where I still need God's grace to improve, and how He has worked in my life. My blog doesn't have to completely be about the spiritual journey of life in general or even my own spiritual experience, but it can incorporate that into even the everyday simple aspects of the life of Cami in twenty-first century America. How's that for a profound thought? Yeah, not really, but I like it anyway.
So, I'm going to give you some tastes of my life- reports on my biddies, how my cello practice is going, why I switched my car insurance to Geicko . . . Okay, not really. We use USAA, but anyway. You get the picture, sometimes the everyday stuff is nice too. Life is about variety, with a touch something stable. The stability comes from Christ and the variety from living in a world where things happen.
Brace up for some well thought-out posts, random posts, like this one, and ones that come straight from my heart. I think all my posts do actually flow from there, but sometimes my heart is impressed in different ways.
It's amazing what one impression can do to get a train of thought going. All this because I logged into my old blog.
Yeah, I like that! And your thought is actually very thought-provoking, if it makes sense. I like it too. :)
